If your UKKO account has been locked, you will receive a notification through email. You can also see that your account has been locked when you sign in to your account. A locked account means that you won't be able to enter any expenses or income, or create invoices. If this happened to you, don't worry, it's usually easy to fix.
Why was my account locked and how to unlock it?
There are a few reasons for a locked account and we have listed them here with the instructions to unlock your account.
1. Voucher period is not confirmed
Your account might have been locked, because you have not confirmed that you have added all the needed materials to last month’s bookkeeping. You should always add all materials and confirm the last month by the 21st of the following month. This confirmation process is required so that we can do your VAT and tax returns. Monthly confirmations also help you to monitor your company’s financial situation in real time.
Your account will be unlocked as soon as you confirm the previous voucher period. First check that all materials, like receipts and invoices, have been added, and finish any incomplete incomes and expenses. When everything is done, confirm that the month is ready by clicking the button on your dashboard. After this, you can use your account normally.
You can find more information from our monthly confirmation FAQ page.
2. Service fee is not paid
After 2 unpaid service fees, your account will lock. If this happens, you should check your payment details in your account and update your card info if needed. If your card is no longer working for some reason, you can also add a new card.
When all the service fees have been paid, you can continue using the service as usual. More information on service fees.
3. Suomi.fi authorization is not confirmed
One reason for a locked account is that we have not received a Suomi.fi authorization from you within deadline. We need this authorization to deal with your company's taxes for you.
To fix the problem, you should visit Suomi.fi and accept our request for authorization. After you have done this, you will be able to use the UKKO service as usual.
